Prepworking to a great event

The event planning and preparation is a serious issue. We conclude that after having gone thru many sittuations, which we will be sharing with you in the upcoming days.

Right now we want to share with you our experience in the prep-work before any event that Inspiracion Curacao was and will be in charge of.

After have a written confirmation from you customer (the event-host) we engage in the prep-work. If its a decor set-up, we ought to look for the items that match the style and theme for the party. Most items we have in-house but a couple of customers have specific requests which brings us in a rush a feww time, to provide them that specific item that will 'ofcourse' satisfy them. (At the end of the day, we are a service company that engage in giving our customers the best quality of service.)
As we were saying: if its a catering service, we discuss with the chef or the specific restaurant which items to prepare and how the presentation of each food item got to be.

Most of the time the decor set up requires huge amount of time, becaise we focus on a lot of detailing for every event. Perhaps the fact that we are new in the business, and still reviewing each of our activities and how to improve, makes a little more difficult to do the job in a shorter amount of time. We will keep working on that.

A decor is not being set-up in just 5 hours. We also take into consideration all the time we spent at the 'workplace': conceptualizing the theme, creating the items, shopping for the goodies, getting drapes to the laundry, polish all glass vases and crystals, arranging all stuff in the departure area until the truck gets loaded.

It may be easy to describe it in a couple of sentences but in actual life it is a huge amount of work. Perhaps in the very beginning we only considered the fun of sharing our creativity for decor and knowledge of food-service. Now we find it extremely important to have a good plan for the prep-work in order to deliver a quality service on the day of the actual set-up.

An event is not only during the time that guests are invited, it takes a significant amount of hours of preparations, and human capital in some case.

Today, well in the early hours of this Sunday morning we took 2 hours to handle the polishing of 235 glass vases. You should have been here to experience it. Tonight also brought us back to November 15th and 16th where several of our part-timers engage in gift-wrapping 150 boxes for the Christmas Decor delivered recently.

It is allot of work but we will continue doing it with fun. Just look at the faces of our 'santa's elves' from a couple of weeks ago:....
